1st Repton Beavers – Harry Potter Camp!
On 28th–29th March, 1st Repton Beavers headed off on a magical camping adventure... and what a weekend it was!
The Sorting Hat kicked things off, placing everyone into their Hogwarts houses, and from there the magic truly began. Beavers explored the grounds to find the perfect sticks for their wands, decorating them with wool and feathers ready for their very own Charms class,where they worked hard to keep those sneaky snitches flying!
Next came Mandrake making, with some very... interesting clay creations (we're still not sure all of them were friendly).
The highlight for many was Potions class, where Beavers brewed up their own butterbeer and of course, taste testing was essential!
As night fell, we gathered around the campfire for songs and stories before heading off to bed. It was a very cold night, and we did wonder if some of our first-time campers would last... but they all did amazingly and slept well.
The only slight hiccup? Leaders forgetting the clocks went forward, so it was a very early start for everyone!
All in all, 12 young people took part, showing fantastic resilience and enthusiasm, and made some truly magical memories.
