Young Leaders

Our Young leader Programme gives members aged 14 and over the chance to give back to Scouting while gaining leadership skills that will last a lifetime.

As a Young Leader, you’ll work alongside our adult leaders to help run meetings for younger sections. You will have the opportunity to plan activities, run games, teach new skills, and become a role model for our younger members.

You will receive full training and ongoing support from an experienced leader so you can feel confident and prepared for your role.

Young Leaders can work towards the Young Leader Belt and ear recognition through awards that look great on CVs and university applications. Along the way, you’ll develop communication, organisation, and mentoring skills that will set you apart.

Whether you want to grow your confidence, complete volunteering hours for an award, or simply inspire the next generation, being a Young Leader is a fun, rewarding way to make a difference.
