Become a Young Leader
If you’re aged 14-18, you can join our Young Leader Programme and start making a difference in Scouting.
Before you begin your placement, you’ll need to complete Module A: Prepare for Take-off – an essential introduction to the role. This short training session covers how Scouting works, your responsibilities, and how to keep everyone safe. It is designed to ensure that you feel confident and ready before stepping into your chosen placement.
We welcome Explorers, those completing awards like the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, or anyone keen to develop leadership skills. Once you’ve done Module A, we’ll match you with a younger Section (Beavers, Cubs or Scouts) where you’ll work alongside experienced leaders, learning on the job while inspiring the next generation.
