St Georges Day parade 2026

St George's Day Parade 26th April 2026

1st Repton, 1st Singleton and 1st Great Chart leaders, young leaders, Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and Squirrels ( borrowed from 7th Ashford) all came together to celebrate St George's Day, alongside Singleton Community Church.

The service was wonderfully interactive, with a St George's themed game of rock, paper, scissors, won by a member of our youngest section, Squirrels!
We then heard the story of St George, how he slayed the dragon and saved the village, with some of our Cubs, Beavers and Squirrels taking on lead roles.

We also discovered why St George became Saint George and our Patron Saint, before renewing our Scout promises together.A huge thank you to Singleton Community Church for welcoming us and leading such a lovely service, and to all our young people for their outstanding behaviour and for renewing their promises so proudly.
